Tigertail Beach Marco Island
Thur July 11th, 2019
Tigertail Beach in Marco Island is one of the least known beaches on Marco Island and a great beach to enjoy many activities including kayaking, paddle boating, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, swimming, just relaxing and more...
There are a few ways to access the beach either by walking through the lagoon, walking around the south side of the lagoon (this is about a 20-minute walk through the sand) or paddle boat over.
In the 1960's, Tigertail Beach was considered the least desirable beach on Marco Island because of its location. Who knew that someday a lagoon would form in front of this beach?

There are some hotels that are only a couple of miles away from Tigertail beach so if you love to spend the day at the beach shelling, this is a great beach as it has a plentiful supply of beautiful shells to collect.
The sand on Tigertail Beach is white and the water is very clear. When visiting this beach you can either bring your own chairs and umbrella or rent a cabana. There is a lot of wildlife and birds so be sure to bring binoculars to get a close up view.
You can bring your own snacks or dine at the Tigertail Beach Café which is close by (a one minute walk from Tigertail Beach).
The café offers fish and chips, hot dogs, burgers, wraps, chicken and shrimp baskets and more... See menu.
A day at this beautiful beach offers so much to do so check it out and enjoy, don't forget the sunscreen!
